“I have been wanting to build RC quadcopters, planes and the like for most of my life, and have just finished building my first drone (it flies!). The proposed FAA regulations would, of course, eliminate that, which is a clear sign that those regulations are overstepping the jurisdiction of the FAA (at least in my opinion). I can, however, certainly see the need for things like remote id to be in place if, say, Amazon or some other company starts delivering packages and the like with drones. But for it to affect some kid in his backyard who built something, clearly means that the regulations need to be refined.”
