“Model aircraft flying is a freedom that has been enjoyed for many years without any sort of incident warranting such a drastic imposition by the FAA. I am employed by a major distributor of hobbyist parts for model aircraft and I am very concerned about the future of the hobby as it will have a direct impact on my livelyhood. It’s obvious that this is being pushed by lobbyists with deep pockets. The lack of any risk assessment at all, let alone one that backs up the extreme restrictions that have been proposed, makes that very clear. This is an unwarranted take over of public airspace for corporate interests and should be rejected entirely.”
