“I live and fly model aircraft in the UK, so why should the FAA even consider my input? The USA is a leader in aviation (commercial and hobby), many countries will follow your lead. My request is that you make the rules comparable with the risk, homebuilt model aircraft (inc multi-rotor) that fly line of sight distances do not pose any significant safety threat. My own story is not particularly inspiring but very important to me. I spend 24/7 looking after my wife who unfortunately has Alzheimer’s, I would not have it any other way. ### If and when I can get some family or friends to help look after my wife for a few hours I love to go flying, it is an opportunity to meet, chat, joke and fly with some great people. The proposed remote ID rules would effectively stop me from flying (I mostly fly self built model aircraft). Without that social interaction I not sure I would be able to cope.”
