“Flying & building model planes is a recent hobby fro me, encouraged by watching Flight Test videos. I was inspired by their enthusiasm, ingenuity, & willingness to share information & techniques for building & flying models. Although I can understand the fear & suspicion felt towards some remotely controlled model (particularly drones) it must be emphasised that the majority of modellers/flyers participate in a hobby for pleasure & knowledge. The regulations as proposed appear to be total overkill written, I believe, by legislators who have little knowledge of the hobby & how it operates but believe it to be a threat which it is not.”
