“I am currently a posdoc at the University of Florida. I love FPV and got to the hobby watching YouTube videos of freestyle flying. I love building my own multirotors and flying them in acro mode. I also wish to build some fixed wing drones to do some long range flying. Building, programming and figuring out how to make a drone fly like I wish is more than half the fun of the hobby. From my understanding, current proposed regulations would make my current practice of the hobby illegal. I wish that these regulations get more flexible for handcrafted drones. This would be great not only for me, but for every other child that could come before me since they can learn a lot and enjoy an awesome hobby.”
