“Flying matters because it’s a creative, exciting pastime. The proposal would sunset flying sights, eliminate home built aircraft, which Americans have enjoyed safety for about 90 years. It will do nothing to stop those who wish to peruse criminal purposes with UAS, and shuts down those of us who want to continue to fly within the law. It ignores the reality of RC flight as exploration of our world through photography. US airspace, and it’s safe use by law abiding citizens, must not be given away to commercial interests. It’s access is a public right.”
