“I was a helicopter pilot and know that there are regulations needed for the safety of person and property. But these recommended changes to the hobbyist is ridiculous and unnecessary to a hobby that around the world has never had a fatal accident in it’s history. If a person does not fly with the safety of person and property in mind, then they and they alone should be held responsible. It’s just that simple. These regulations will go a long way to destroying a hobby that has contributed to the advancement in education and encouragement to millions of young people that have gone on to be pilots, aeronautical engineers and astronauts. Neil Armstrong would be one of the many examples.”
