“This is a hobby for my son and I to enjoy. We build the aircraft fly them and wreck them. Then fix them fly them and not wreck them as much if possible. Registering all of our planes would have been burdensome at the least and darn right expensive at the worst. Expensive for us and the FAA because of the man power needed to maintain the data. Updating every time an airframe is no longer in service. Regulating compliance would not be possible without an army of regulators. Good luck with enforcement when you present a huge budget to Congress for monitoring a bunch of 12 year old children and retired citizens.”
