“I have flown for over 20 years. It is my primary retirement hobby and gives both pleasure in the flying and building but also the social comradeship. I know of almost no-one in the hobby to doesn’t say that the social interactions brought about through the common interest is a driving influence in their participation in the hobby. The restrictions being proposed will greatly reduce the number of people than can participate in the hobby and therefore will result in the significant reduction in local club memberships. This will result in the loss of a significant number of fields and may in turn actually result in more uncontrolled illegal operations. In my view these proposed changes represent the death knoll for our hobby.”
