“I started flying as a way of dealing. With depression 4 years ago. It gets me outside. It has since turned into a passion. Both of my kids are remote pilots we build planes together. Each one is working on designing a plane as we speak. These added regulations would make it cost prohibitive for us to fly. Most of their planes would be seriously burdened by the extra weight. The flying fields around me are a hour drive in any direction. This hobby has a been a gateway to STEM learning. The seeds of engineering have been planted by this hobby for generations. These regulations may not kill the hobby but they will certainly hobble it and stifle innovations to many people use.”
