“My dad was into gas and a few electric airplanes when he was younger, and in about June of last year, I found one of his old brushless motors. That motor sparked an interest in me that has continued to bring me joy every time I work on an R/C project. I knew next to nothing about R/C flight or aeronautics, (only a few tips from watching Flite Test) but I promptly asked him If we could put it to use. We bought a foam Walmart glider and my dad and I began to work on making it R/C. I remember the joy and satisfaction of flying that first plane with him, and will never forget how happy it made me feel. Now, a little less than a year later, my knowledge and piloting skills have drastically increased, but I still love learning about, designing, building and flying every project. I cannot express how much I love this hobby, and how it has taught me so many things that not only apply to flight, but also to life. I can’t imagine what life would be like without this hobby that has bettered me in so many ways.”
