“I have been an avid flyer for over 20 years, in that time I have only bought 4 air frames that didn’t require building, in fact building a plane or multirotor is one of the enjoyable part of the hobby. Due to my interest in this hobby I learned how to design parts and accessories in CAD that I then 3D print. In fact I have designed and flown several multirotors that are completely 3D printed that you can download from the internet for free. I have used my passion for this hobby to teach dozens of children CAD, programming, soldering, and many other skills that they have then taken to advance their adult life. This hobby has enriched my life and it will be a shame if it’s taken from the next generation of scientists and engineers due to these poorly thought out rules.”
