“My son (11) and I have built 14 flite test models plus a few from scratch, we have attended Flite Fest, we attend OshKosh every year. Since these rules have been suggested it feels as if this part of our lives is going to be ripped away. Even now I am hesitant to spend any more money on this hobby if it is just going to get shut down. This is a fight for the life of this hobby and requires an all out effort. These rules are appropriate for COMMERCIAL drone/aircraft, not hobbiest. I don’t see that as part of the conversation and it is a head scratcher. Treat hobby drone/aircraft the same as you would birds in a risk analysis. It probably is the same risk with less frequency.”
