“I’m a disabled veteran on a fixed income. I have built and flown model aircraft since I was in grade school. Flying RC planes is a significant improvement in my life. The requirements for remote ID and restrictions on operating my planes, plus the costs, would end my ability to continue my hobby. I am a member of the AMA and local flying club which does have a AMA-sanctioned flying field, but I also use parks and schoolyards. I am insured, and abide by the AMA and club safety codes, and have downloaded the LAANC app. Over 65 years of flying, I have never had any incident of encounter with other airborne users (e.g. private pilots in light aircraft).”
