“I’m a Part 107 licensed professional pilot, with manned aircraft experience. Encouraging young people to innovate is critical to me. Making the barrier to entry harder for new pilots is a concern. If less people are motivated to join this hobby/profession, innovation will suffer. I am a fan of increased regulations. Remote ID is a good thing for the sport/profession. I have no issue with my flight data being shared with the FAA or first responders. I am VERY concerned with private individuals having this data. Long term, I believe our remote aircraft should be able to fly over people and beyond visual line of sight. The ONLY way to get there is through full integration into the national airspace. So I support most federal remote ID initiatives.”
