“Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF), CBO and model aviation is not the threat and it never has been. I agree that some form of regulation is necessary for the commercial operator. I am a commercial UAV pilot. However to include model aviation with commercial operations is just absurd and label our model airplanes as drones in not right. If this legislation is to pass, then it will end the model aviation industry in the United States and there is so much good that comes from the hobby. From STEM to craftsmanship to comradey of the local flying field, model aviation has been the backbone of many future pilots, engineers, designers, manufactures, just to name a few. Not to mention all the lost jobs that will certainly occur if this is where to pass! I urge the FAA and law makers to do the right thing for once and get the lobbyist our of your pocket! Model aviation is not the problem, it never has been and it never will be!”
