“It is a way for me to employ my brain and mechanical talents that isn’t directly related to my major field of work. It allows me to experience flight first person when I fly FPV. It has encouraged me to greatly increase my knowledge of aeronautics, weather patterns, electronics, and the NAS. Model aviation fuels the fire within individuals to achieve flight. Many of my best friends are lifetime model aviation participants, as well as full-scale and commercial pilots.”
