“It’s my way of unwinding after a hard day’s work and other responsibilities of life. I fly self build mini Kwads in quiet locations free from members of the public. I rarely fly above the tree line and when flying fpv I have a clear view of possible dangers ahead of me. I ensure I have a number of failsafes incase of an issue. All these attempts at regulating the use of drones is a major over reaction. 9 out of 10 pilots fly responsibly and do not endanger people or aircraft even if it they live close to an airport. (Racing drones rarely fly above tree line) Drones used for high altitude photography or sight seeing are only an issue if they disregard the height restrictions. Low altitude flight is perfectly safe. Sale of drones should only be to Adults. Toy low powered versions for youngsters. This is a very safe hobby.”
