“As a disabled person, flying is about the only outdoor activity I can still do. And without any means of transport of my own, I am mostly limited to flying around the neighborhood of the apartments where I live. I have no means to get to any club airfield and the nearest one I know of is at least a half hour away. And with a restricted income, there’s no way I can afford additional equipment, club fees, or subscription/data costs. All but one of the aircraft I have were gifts, not out of my own budget. In short, the proposed new rules would deprive me of the last outdoor activity I can still be part of while doing absolutely nothing to increase security for anyone since we all know criminals, by definition, do not follow the rules.”
