“My dad got me into flying gliders when I was in elementary school. Now, as an undergraduate student in college, I’ve chosen to study Unmanned Aircraft as my major. While the commercial industry is certainly expanding, in my opinion, a large portion of technological innovation and most importantly, smart, motivated people, come from the hobby of RC aircraft. Imposing Remote ID will greatly reduce the number of people who participate in the hobby, therefore negatively impacting the UAS industry as a whole.”
