“I have been flying models for more than 60 years. I am currently a member of the AMA and a club with a AMA sanctioned field but the field is more than 50 miles from my home. Living in West Virginia which is quite rural, there is very little likelihood of model flying being a safety issue in most locations. I am quite concerned about requirements that are based on radio technology (wi-fi or cellular) that do not exist in a GREAT many WV locations. There are even areas of WV that are radio quiet zones where these technologies are BANNED.”
