“I grew up in a family of pilots and aircraft owners both Full size aircraft and Model aircraft and as such I am also a SEL licensed pilot with a Tail wheel endorsement. Growing up I flew Control Line, Model Rockets, and Radio Controlled aircraft. All were built either from kits or from scratch. Designing these plans were also a large part of the fun of learning how changes effected the aerodynamics and flight characteristics. All were flown with the safety of spectators, ground personnel (Fellow modelers), and air traffic of paramount importance. Through my years in the hobby I have been a part of demonstration teams at town celebrations and airport open houses promoting the hobby, as well as a short time teaching continuing education classes in model building at a local high school. I feel the best part of the hobby is the family connections that are created and maintained by sharing time together flying and building. Socially, being a part of a club connects people from all walks of life and experiences, and in doing so creates a better community of people.”
