“My Father and I started flying when I was 8 years old. For us it gave the both of us bonding time and memories that I can fondly look back on. Modeling taught me how to solve problems and put the solution into flite. Also modeling helped my Farther when my Mom passed in 1991, Dad was not in a good place. I then got into R/C and it gave dad something to bring himself out of the bad place he was going. Dad passed in 2016 and was an active flyer until his last day. I have made some of the best friends in the word modeling, Doctors, Hobby Shop owner and the Speaker of the House for PA. At my local club I have done some instructing. 4 young boys stand out in my mind, one of them is no a flight instructor and another flys commercial jets and one is a designer for Gulf Syream Corp. and the last one enlisted in the US Airforce and now works at Pittsburgh International Airport as a Fire Fighter. All this from flying model aircraft. Please save this hobby!”
