“In addition to being a fun activity that I have enjoyed from childhood to today, model aviation has provided a vehicle for developing life skills that I have used throughout my home and work life. Activities like following a set of plans, sequences of activities to complete a project successfully, spatial and motor skills development, decision making skills, developing my own plans and executing them, math skills, research skills, and myriad more were all taught and reinforced by building and flying model aircraft. It has been FAR more than a fun hobby/sport to me for over 50 years. I am a strong supporter of making this opportunity available to coming generations.”
