“I have been enjoying the hobby for the better part of a decade. And in that time I’ve learned so much about all things aviation. That knowledge has helped me not only for personal entertainment but also for professional development. I now am starting to have children and would love to pass on the engineering principles of scratch building(electronics, airframes, mechanics, etc.) to them. These proposed rules would make that nearly impossible. The hobby would still be in the dark ages if it weren’t for flitetest and other organizations innovating and creating amazing ideas to further the hobby. I believe there are ways to improve safety without compromising our core values (i.e. laanc system or a new weight class 1.5kg and lower)Thank you for all the work you do in protecting the hobby.”
