“This hobby is something I use to have social interaction with my small group of friends. I am 36 and the range of friends that fly with Me are High School to retirement age, I don’t think there’s many things that would pull us together like our model flying Hobby. I would say without exception we all fly very inexpensive smaller aircraft and a lot of what is being asked with the regulations would make it a huge burden on us. If this is truly about safety I think the emphasis truly needs to be put on education and bringing people together as groups that can self police. Please don’t change a long-standing pastime.”
