“I myself just fly as a hobby, but have met and seen innumerable postings, videos, and shared stories from people across the country and around the world who use FPV as an outlet and as therapy. It’s pretty harmless as long as you’re not being an idiot, and we already have rules to govern that. Since being involved in the hobby, I have learned a lot I didn’t know about electronics, flight in general, and even government regulation. Drones are a lot of fun, and an invaluable tool to prepare the children of today for the world of tomorrow. Regulating it as currently proposed would be a serious blow to potential STEM training, lifestyle, and fun for a lot of people. There is no reason hobby flyers cannot coexist with businesses using drones for delivery and other purposes, and plenty of room in the skies for both.”
