“Flying is a relaxing hobby that requires planning and creativity. I always fly safely with complete awareness of my surroundings and proximity to airports and other aircraft. I fly mostly from my personal property. It is usually during the evening after work. Requiring me to travel to a club flying field would ruin the hobby for me. The expense requiring me to equip my aircraft with remote ID would ruin the hobby for me. I would support the idea of on-line training and reasonable private licensing, in order to help eliminate or discourage those that are irresponsible and could create a safety risk. The proposed rule-making seems excessive and an over reaction to a “potential” threat that has not been proven to exist.”
