“Flying is truly a large part of my life. My whole life my father and I have bonded through RC and specifically flying FPV for nearly a decade. Beyond that I have made many close friends through flying and racing FPV. If remote ID were to go into place I feel it would ruin the essense of what makes this hobby great, which is the freedom of flight. It would ruin the competition and innovation of the technology that makes this hobby such a great thing to be a part of. Cost is a burden for many and potentially making some aircraft obsolete would cause many people to financially quit the hobby. Not only the cost of equipment but the added travel and access to approved flying sites would be an issue for me and many other people due proximity. I think some regulations could help the overall safety of the hobby but the currently proposed remote ID isn’t the answer.”
