“I started flying RC models at a time which I didn’t have many friends, my parents moved away, and I needed something positive to focus on. I bought a ready-to-fly model airplane and learned how to fly at the soccer fields down the road from where I was living. Several years later, I have found many friends in the RC hobby. Model flying is a big part of my life. If I had needed an AMA membership, RC club membership, location restrictions, and additional equipment and service costs, I wouldn’t have even tried to fly in the first place.”
