“There’s nothing in the proposed rules that will make the hobby safer, they’re only designed to kill it. The government can’t come out and outright ban r/c flight so it’s going to slowly squeeze it to death. Laser pens present more of a danger to aircraft than model a/c do but there’s not a proposal to limit or regulate the use of laser pens. There isn’t enough room to rebut each proposal, the rebuttal would be as long as the proposal. The entire proposal is so wrong headed I don’t see a way to tweak or amend parts of it, it all should be scrapped.”
