“I have been an active rc pilot for over 30 years, I have seen and been involved in fantastic relationships at a variety of clubs at which I have flown over the years. The delight in the eyes of a young person who has just completed his/her first solo flight or flown their first scratch built aircraft is an amazing thing to be involved in. These regulations will make it harder and more expensive for young people to be involved and will steal this opportunity from future generations. The breach of personal privacy insinuated in the regulations is beyond belief for a hobby which to my knowledge has never recorded a death related to the flying of a rc model. I am totally opposed to these suggested regulations for any community or country as I believe that once these draconian measures are inflicted on one group, they will more than likely spread to other jurisdictions as well.”
