“Well I am a 15 year old who has gotten into FPV through youtube videos and I regularly updated myself on new things in the hobby, I have my aircraft registered and I comply with all rules. My drone is a highly modified version of the “UAVfutures 99 dollar fpv drone build”. Including my goggles, radio, drone, batteries, and all that I have payed for, it has cost me roughly 600 dollars for the set up. I test fly in my back yard and I offen go up to the school near me to go fly (after school hours) , I have gone to parks, forests, lakes, anyware where there is little amount of people and little danger. With the new regulations I would fall under no remote ID and wouldn’t be able to fly because the nearest flying field is 5.3 miles away and would cost me 75 dollars per year and they’re last event with other pilots was back in 2018 and I don’t know if they are still active. The hobby has gotten me in STEM groups near me and introduced me into new tecnologies that I wouldn’t have seen if it wasn’t for fpv. If about a year and a half ago when I started in fpv I had seen regulations like the proposed remote ID then I would have picked another’s hobby.”
