“I am part of a local group that regularly builds RC models, ranging from DiY airplanes cut from foam-plates, wood and carbon to (in most cases) compiled from available parts and then assembled acro and racing drones/quadcopters, which then are most often flown via one the various available fpv systems. Requiring constant line of sigh to the model and requiring each and every model to be equipped with a remote ID system would either hinder the use of a significant portion of them or even outright ground/outlaw them for good.”
