“My father taught me to fly when I was 12 years old, in 1995. I’ve been flying for 25 now, and I still fly with my dad weekly. I have over 35 airworthy models now. My ideal flying place would be parks, but my city forbids it – including model rockets, etc. Meanwhile, various sporting locations are given acres by the hundreds, while we already need to drive out of town to get to a legal spot. I have two young sons who already showing a strong interest in aviation, but I’m very concerned that strong commercial interest in cordoning off the airspace or severely curtailing access to it could crush this unique and valuable hobby.”
