“Flying is more than a hobby. Its meeting new people with similar interests and skillsets. Being able to control a aircraft with only a transmitter in your hands is priceless. Flying has come a long way in the past few years and it continues to rapidly advance with new technology, thoughts and ideas. The proposed limitations will negatively impact the hobby as we know it and cause a immense lack of interest. The reason individuals begin the hobby us because they’re willing to spend a fixed amount of money on some equipment with the intent of quitting if it becomes too expensive or too difficult. Remote ID as proposed will add unnecessary cost and rules that cant even be enforced which will deter many of the current fliers and decrease the amount of people wanting to join the hobby. RC aircraft has been around for a long time, why all of a sudden is there this fictional need to radically change the rules and regulations surrounding it? There is no better self satisfaction of flying a craft in the air, creating a human memory, interact with communities and land only to fly again another day.”
