“I’ve loved airplanes since the first time I saw one. The first profession I ever considered was to be a pilot. I didn’t pursue it as a profession but I’ve been building and flying models for around 50 years now – with never an injury more than a finger getting hit by a propeller! I was a professional musician for more than 40 years and now that creativity is channeled into designing and flying model planes. This I do mostly on the back field of a nearby school that adjoins two corn fields. It is my escape from the stresses of daily life which can be overwhelming at times due to my personal circumstances. The FAA regulations would destroy something I’ve safely enjoyed for decades and discourage young people from following a path to fulfillment and happiness either in the modeling world or full scale.”
