“Its a family thing for me, my kids and grand kids. We like doing things outdoors together especially if there is education involved. We just have fun for free, except for purchase or build costs. We know the safety rules and never even came close to an incident with our surroundings. If the government passes legislation that puts costs or restricts on our flying hobby freedoms then this family bonding sport will die. I would think the FAA has bigger fish to fry than this. I see no history of issues in safety related to the hobbyist or commercial flyer. Kind of like the gun owner issue, if they want to do something harmful, no laws will stop them. Please understand what we, the family flyers are about and what we are not.”
